What Are Recurring Headaches In A Child Post Injury Suggestive Of?
My 6 year old son just fell on his tailbone on our tile floor and immediately got a splitting headache. After I put a cold towel on it for a few minutes it went away, but then came back a few minutes later just as intense. Then went away again. Should I take him to urgent care? Or just keep an eye on him?
Hi...Can understand your concern. As per your query about recurrent headache in your 6 year old son ...Although it may not be a very serious injury but as a child they cannot tell the symptoms properly for what type of pain it is and other associated symptoms also..I suggest you to consult a paediatrician with proper evaluation and investigations like ct scan should be done to be on the safe side because the headache started after the injury and was not present earlier. I hope the information helps you.Take care.
