What Are Recurring Pain In Hip Suggestive Of?

Hi, I have hip pain that alternates from the left to the right. Sometimes it goes away for up to a month or longer but comes right back. The current episode started after a long trip during which I sat for extended periods. It s gone from right to left hip and hurts when I cough. I did X-ray s but they showed nothing. I m young and fairly physically active.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should do an X-ray of hip joint and also anti ANA antibodies and rheumatoid factor. Also, do a total blood count and formula and ERS.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
