Cardiologist 's  Response
Trace Mitral Regurgitation in absence of any structural heart disease is usually incedental finding on Echo and does not need any treatment ,especially at young age.but if you have past history of rheumatic fever then you may need penicillin prophylaxis for Rheumatic fever ,If you have Mitral Valve prolapse then u may need regular follow up.but since you are asymptomatic you need not worry and you should continue to live rouitne unrestricted life.
