What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy With Missed Birth Control Pills?

I have been taking birth control since May 2010, but in the end of November into the beginning of December I had missed a few pills. I started over as directed and waited to have sex again for a while. After starting a new pack of pills, I got my period for 12 days and have had my period twice since then. The last two periods seemed to be normal. However, 13 days before my next period I have been experiencing some spotting. On the first day it was barely noticeable, the second and third day was more noticeable but not heavy, and today it was even heavier. I thought that it might be an early period, but this is not the normal pattern for my period. I have been sexually active again since January, but have not missed a day of taking my pill since end of November/beginning of December. Could it be that my body is still regulating to the pill again, or is it possible that I am pregnant?
