What Are The Chances Of Recurrence Of The Bladder Cancer During Pregnancy?
My daughter was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2009 at barely 20 years old (2 weeks after her 20th birthday) . The only treatment she recieved was TURB and her cancer was described to us as intraepithelial cancer and did not penetrate beyond the bladder wall so no further treatment was required. She has had a few clear followups. Last year, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and as she was trying to conceive she was put on Clomid. The Clomid worked, and she is now 3 months pregnant. My question is this: What are the chances of recurrence of the bladder cancer (or any other) recurring due to or during the pregnancy?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Pregnancy itself will not cause any recurrence, but what ever possibilities are there in a normal condition same apply to pregnancy as far as i can think of. 2.There can be some bladder symptoms seen in the late pregnancy in normal cases, may be little more in her case. 3.Only thing you have to do is a regular followup with the pregnancy any small symptoms get evaluated. 4.Hope the best and continue - everything is going to be fine. 5.So sorry you have to face this with your daughter. Wish you the best. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
