What Are The Consequences Of Smoking Meth During Pregnancy?
My best friend and I are both pregnant seven days apart. I am very upset with some of her choices, I know she is an adult but for eight and a half months now I have planned on us raising our children together and enjoying the closeness that we have shared through childhood. but now it may all be thrown away. She confidentiality told me today that she smoked a little methamphetamine her due date is seven days before mine 8-3-15 is that enough time to be out of their system or will they take the child? And what damage at 37 and a half weeks is the baby going to endure? Please help

Many studies have showed increased risks of hypertension complicating pregnancy, premature rupture of membranes, placenta previa, placental abruption, premature delivery, precipitate labor, infection of amniotic cavity, intrauterine death, and poor fetal growth among Meth-using women.
Even a single exposure to prenatal meth can cause harmful effects on the fetus.Hence advise your friend against meth use.
And also ensure frequent monitoring of the fetus until labour. Counselling by a professional will also be helpful
