What Are The Control Measures & Survival Rate Of Cervical Cancer In Elderly Woman?

hI, My mother is 68 year is old, she is suffering from cervical cancer in iv b stage. She has undergone radiotherapy and chemotherapy during the last 4 months. Now she has become very weak and bedridden.Doctors have stopped giving chemo and radiotherapy and advised us to take care of her. Now I want to know anything can be done to control the cancer cells from spreading and what are the control measures i can take and like to know about survival rate.

Hello dear. i appreciate your concern. Your mother is suffering from an advanced stage of the disease. because her physical fitness is low, doctors have stopped giving chemo as she will not be able to tolerate. Only thing you can do is to give her best supportive care in the form of injectable fluids and nutrition, pain killers, sleep medicines etc. The survival will be low, around 3 to 5 months. Hope you understand.
