What Are The Dangers Of Having A Pacemaker With An Artificial Valve?
My mother is going to have a pacemaker put in Monday. She had a valve replacement 3 years ago and her dr. Said her heart was too enlarged to bring out of A-fib. She had a stroke 2 days later and has had a blood clot with other surgeries throughout her life. Fully recovering from stroke, has been on COUMADIN but still does not feel better. Are there greater dangers in having a pacemaker with an artificial valve?

a valve prevents backflow of blood in the pipe system that is heart. pacemaker is the charge that keeps the motor of the heart running regularly and smoothly. heart beats that become irregular lead to stalling of blood and hence clots and stroke consequently. pacemaker is an acceptable solution in such situation. there are always dangers with any cardiac procedures, but with necessary precautions, pacemaker can improve the quality of life in patients
