What Are The Diet Plans For Paroxysms Of Atrial Fibrillation?
For paroxysms of atrial fibrillation of which i have experienced 3 in 3 years i take cordorone 100,metxl12.5 and acitrom 1mg maintaining an inr between 2.5 and 3.i get inr checked every month now.My question is :I try to avoid potassium rich foods like spinach, broccoli, should i avoid bananas also-what else ( i believe cauliflower and cabbage are to be avoided also ).If i do have any of these foods ocasionally what harm can they do ??
The electrolytes need to be checked occaisionally, but if the potassium isn't elevated then it isn't a problem. All vegetable material has about the same amount of potassium. It's just how much material you take in is how much potassium. Dried plant material (herbs) has the highest potassium per weight; over 1 gram per 100 grams for dried cumin, cinnamon, or celery seed. Spinach, orange juice, bananas are a lot of potassium simply because we eat a lot of it at a time. Iceberg lettuce is largely fiber and water so it's content of anything (potassium, vitamins) is quite a bit lower relative to its weight. Mainly check if you need a potassium restriction.
