What Are The Effects Of Having High Cholesterol And Triglyceride Levels?

Hi Doctor, I am 35 years old, Male. I generally just got my LIPID profile done. The results are:

Cholestrol : 209

Triglyceride: 246

HDL: 126

LDL: 56.8

VLDL: 26.2

Cholestrol /HDL ratio: 3.68

As per the report my Total Cholestrol and Triglyceride level looks high. Can you please help intrerpret the report for me and advise if there is any cause of worry for me? Thanks

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I have gone through you question carefully. If the report values are

correct .. you have a very high HDL ... that's really protective. In

summary .. you need not worry . Continue to be physically active ..

that would suffice .

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best,

Dr. D Sunil Reddy
