Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
According to reports your have degenerative
disc prolapse of spine with loss of normal curve in spine
1.You have mild loss of disc height at L5-S1 level and
disc dehydration at the L4-5 and L5-S1 levels. Posterior annular fissures are seen at both levels.
2.There is small 3mm left subarticular/foraminal
disc protrusion which is effacing left subarticular recess and it is possibly impinging upon the descending left S1 nerve roots.
3.There is also mild circumferentially
bulging disc and disc dehydration with posterior annular fissure at L4-5 level which can contribute to pain.
4.There is small posterior synovial cysts in the facet osteoarthropathy present at L3-4 through L5-S1.
You should consult neuro surgeon.
Treatment for pain includes
physiotherapy or surgical.
Effectiveness of both modalities are same. So,physiotherpay should be tried first. It causes strengthening of Para spinal muscles and it prevents further changes.
Surgery should be the last option.
There are also medicines available for pain relief.
Weight reduction will also help.
Get well soon.
Take Care
