What Are The Itchy Rashes On My Stomach After Epigastric Hernia?
I am a 58 yr old man and just had umbical and epigastric hernia surgery 10 days ago. I now have a rash over my entire stomach that itches and is growing around my sides. The incision is healing but rough and tender to any cloth. The rash is more of my concern Thank You

Thanks for the query,
You might be suffering from allergic contact dermatitis.
It is an allergic reaction of skin to a particular product to which you came in contact with.
Probably you were allergic to the dressing material used after surgery.
Please apply a steroid cream like fluticasone.
Also take an antihistamine tablet.
This will give you relief.
A photograph would have helped me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
