What Are The Odds That The Speculated Fibroadnisis Mass On The Outer Quadrant Is Malignant?
Thanks accordg to Mammo, I hv a spiculated Fibroadenosis type mass on the outer quadr. Am going for biopsy tomorrow a.m. what questions shud I ask the surgeon? what are the odds (roughly) that it's malignant? I don't hv any other symptoms other than the lump thank you, Barb

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
On physical examination few points are favor towards malignancy like varied consistency of mass, ill defined borders, lymph nodes etc. In many centers fine needle aspiration of mass is not recommended, as it increases spread of malignant cell and staging differs. Excision biopsy or frozen section is preferred. discuss with your doctor.
