What Are The Options Available For Removing Breast Fibroadenoma?

Hi, I am Manjula from India. I am 25 years old. I am suffering from breast fibroadenoma in my left breast. What's the various options for removing it? Can it get cured without surgery (for e.g. by taking medicines)? Can cryaoblation help to remove the lump?

Hi Manjula , thanks for opting for Healthcaremagic.
Fibroadenoma of breast are benign tumors and no need for intervention if it is small and asymptomatic, commonly occurs in reproductive age group, due to hormonal imbalance, leading to soft , mobile lump in the breast and treatment varies on individual merit like size of the lump, pain , multiplicity .
Surgery is the standard treatment for fibroadenoma, and the risk of anaesthesia , pain and scars are minimal in present practice.
No oral medications nor local applications of drugs are not indicated for fibroadenoma.
Cryoablation is minimally invasive procedure recently been used in selective case of fibroadenoma with resultant minimal pain , and less scar formation is alternative option, but take months for disappearance of the lump after procedure.
