What Are The Other Medicine Apart From IBS For Diarrhea ?

Hi, I frequently suffer from diarehha , have undergone all the tests, biopsy , ct scan , endoscopy but everthing ia normal, doctors have detected IBS and prescribed IBSCIM 50mg half an hr before my meals (thrice a day) can you please comment as how can i control this without talking medicine

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Symptoms of IBS are commonly precipitated by acute/chronic mental stress and anxiety.

A long-term (3-12 months) course of anti-depressants + anti-anxiety drugs; daily intake of Isabgol (Psyllium) husk at bedtime; a 4 weeks' course of Lactobacilli; and anti-diarrheal drug, such as Loperamide during bouts of diarrhea will give substantial relief.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
