What Are The Possible Complications In The Fetal Growth In Future?

hai doctor my LMPis 15/04/16. myperiods are regular 28days. now iam 2months 1week. my hcg levels at present 2 days ago 15945, previously on 37th day of gestation my beta HCG was 6800 & 9500with 48 hours gap. my 1st & 2nd scan showed only gestational sac said it was looking like blighted ovum on my 3rd scan on 13/06/16 yolk sac appeared, & on my 4th scan on 20/06/16 fetal pole was also appeared, and CRL :0.5cms but no cardiac activity, till now i don t have bleeding as iam on progesterone suppliments. radiologist said we will wait one more week to see cardiac activity. my question is is this fetal growth normal? what are the complications may occur in the future, can it be viable till term.

Hello,

* Fetal viability till term is only possible after fetal cardiac activity starts.

* So have to wait for a period of max 7 weeks for fetal cardiac activity to start during sequential ultrasound and doppler scan.

Once the fetal heart sounds get started, multiple parameters come into action for its viability till term as placental circulation, hormone status, maternal factors, folic acid levels and so forth.
