What Are The Possible Treatment For Hypopituitarism ?

My mother is hypopituitarism patient . She is on wyzalone 5 mg for 7 years . Recently she had vomiting, pain in groin , lower back pain, fatigue fever 100-101, loss of appetite. Her liver - FNAC - positive for malignancy. ( possible neuroendocrine Tumor) . Her endoscopy shows GAVE of the Antrum, duedinitis. Her DOTA pet scan shoes poorly differentiated lesion in IV segment of liver. Can you guide us on wat this could mean. Will the treatment be chemotherapy or surgery . Will my mother improve with chemo.

Hi, How are you?
My name is Dr Suresh Raghavaiah. i am a Liver and Pancreas specialist and I hope to answer your question today. I am sorry to hear about your mother's diagnosis. It is unusual for GAVE to occur by itself and is usually a symptom of Liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension or chronic Liver failure. But given your mother's history she does not seem to be suffering from either of these conditions. The treatment of GAVE is usually done by endoscopic coagulation with which excellent results have been obtained. it is very rare for it to need surgery to treat it.
Given the lesion in the liver, she will need to undergo a colonoscopy as well to look for the primary lesion. If all the reports appear normal, and only the isolated segment 4 lesion of the liver is present, then it is very much necessary to get it surgically removed. Since it is a single lesion, the surgery is pretty straight forward.
