I am 22 years old now and I since i was 14 I suffer from hypopituitarism - I was just born with the defection of my pituitary gland which does not work and lacks hormones: TSH - I get substitutes of TSH hormones as well as Cyclo-Progynova for regular cycles. I have also hyperprolactynemia and I take bromocriptine, Bromergon every day. I know I will never be prregnant without proper treatment as well as I know that I will have to be treated for the whole life. But my major question is: will this disease have a big impact on my lifespan, if I treat properly? Will I die in younger age than health people?
this pitutary failure is due to the hyperprolactemia meaning increase in the secrection of the prolaction hormones and the usual cause is the adenoma in the pitutary gland. you need to get the mri scan of the brain and get the adenoma treated. egarding the life span what i say is it is the quality of the life that is reduced if not treated properly than the life span as such.
