What Are The Possible Treatments For PVC S And Ventricular Tachycardia ?
Hi I am 55, had a heart attack three months ago and I have a 50% ventricular volume after one month but in past three weeks I have been diagnosed with PVCs and ventricular tachycardia. What are my treatment options and what does my prognosis look like.
Hi, PVCs are commonly seen following ischemic heart disease and are generally benign. Ventricular tachycardia (VT) is of some concern as untreated PVCs can lead to this condition. If you are on beta blockers, then your chances of turning to VT would lessen. consult your cardiologist and make sure you are on these drugs; also try to find out the precipitating factors for VT like ongoing cardiac ischemia, some drugs which can bring in VT, etc.
