What Are The Possible Treatments For Pain In Lymph Nodes Around Clavicle And Bone Muscle (arm And Shoulder )?
I've had a bulge, like a lump but soft, right side above clavicle x 1 year. Pain in lymph nodes around clavicle and bone/muscle pain in right arm and shoulder, fatigue. normal mammogram, normal thyroid function tests. Does not respond to NSAIDS or other pain reliever, even a Lortab. Scared. No family or personal history of any cancers. I am 50 yrs old. YYYY@YYYY
Hello, Is is very difficult to diagnose the lump above the clavicle without any physical examination. As you it as soft, it may not be a cancer or bony growth. Probably it may be from muscle or other soft tissue. As it is there for more than a year and is also soft, it is most likely to be a benign condition like lipoma or other soft tissue swellings. If you are my patient, i would refer you to following investigations after complete examination 1. x- Ray chest 2. CT and MRI Chest and neck 3. Excision biopsy or fine-needle aspirate- depends upon the physical findings
Then i will refer you to a surgeon for further management.
Hope this helps. Please write back for further queries. Wishing you good health.
