What Are The Remedial Measures For The Asymmetrical Prominence Of Lateral Ventricle?
Hello sir, My uncle aged 52 is suffering from giddiness since last 8 days .He is aged 52 ,sugar and all reports are normal. MRI reports are normal but mentions asymmetrical prominence of lateral ventricle is noted Pleaese can you advise possible reason and remedial measure as we are thinking of taking second opinion from another neurologis?
Hi I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. Ideally I would have preferred to see the scan and the complete report of the MRI. And yes, a second opinion can be sought from a second neurologist. As for the asymmetric prominence of the ventricle, the possible causes are an old infarct of gliosis on one side of the brain towards the side where the ventricle is large, or a lesion on the side of the brain where the ventricle is small. As I said, I would prefer to see the scan and maybe a contrast imaging would help better. Best of luck, Dr Mittal
