What Are The Repercussions Of Missing A Dosage Of Effexor?
I m on Effexor for the past few months. 3 weeks ago I missed a dose, and within 24 hours started a migraine that left me in bed for 24 hours and vomitting. Yesterday, the same thing happened to me when I ran out. I don t get migraines like that often, and now I ve had 2 in3 weeks time. I m afraid it s from the Effexor. Now, I m afraid to take my next dose.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Effexor is an antidepressant used to treat major depressive disorder, anxiety, and panic disorder. When you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose. Many people have reported headache, dizziness, fatigue...when they miss a dose. However, these symptoms will always go away shortly after the drug is taken. The symptoms could just be body reaction to low concentration of the drug since it has a particularly short duration of its effectiveness.I will advise you take the drug as prescribed by your Doctor and avoid skipping doses. If headache persist, you see the Doctor for evaluation. Hope this will help Best regards
