What Are The Repercussions Of Overdosing On Prednisone?

I took Six 20mg tabs of prednisone for two days before I realized they were 20, not 10mg (as I d had prescribed before in a different incident.) Can I now just go down to the three that were prescribed and titrate from there, or do I need an antidote?

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Usually double dose for 2 days won't have any adverse effects.
Yes if you would have taken for longer time of weeks to months then it could be have been worrisome.
But with 2 days of dosing it is unlikely.
You can go back to your usual 30mg dose immediately. No need to titre the dose or anything.
There is no need of any antidote for that.
I hope i have answered your query well.
Thank you
