What Are The Risks Of Flying Post Wisdom Teeth Removal?

I just got my upper wisdom teeth removed , one was visible and on the other one a small cut had to be done , Im in ukraine and the doctor didnt really like to explain much... I'm flying in 3 days to USA ill be in the air 26 hs and board plains 3 times , what precautions should I take? Whats the risk ? How should I take care of them wile I'm traveling ?

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain if you have got your wisdom tooth removed and you still have three days left for you to fly you need not to worry as the healing will be progressive by that time provided if there is not complication like dislodgement of clot and you can very much fly as the air journey does not effect the healing of the extraction socket..

The only thing that can happen is that with change in pressure at the higher altitude there can be congestion in sinus and as the upper wisdom tooth lie in close contact with the sinus there are chances that you have a comparatively more soreness or tenderness in the extraction region,other than that there is not effect on healing and it will continue the way it should be normally..

Just follow the instructions and medications (especially antibiotics to prevent any infections) advised to you by your dentist and maintain the clot in position by not spitting or gargling very vigorously..
