What Are The Side Effects Of Mifepristone?
Sir we are newly married couple , my wife is pregnant and she do not want to continue her pregnancy as she was aware. therefore she had taken mifegest kit tab, yesterday after taking Mifepristone drug out of other 4 tab she is suffering from pain please advice what to do , I am very upset when I head that my wife had done such act without any intimation, sir as she said the bleeding will start after taking one tab but ye not come

Understand your concern
Mifepristone and misoprostol for abortion should be taken after taking expert opinion from the gynecologist. Before abortion pelvic examination and USG scan is needed to confirm the intrauterine pregnancy of less than 9 week.
Bleeding will start after using misoprostol tablet with in 20-30 minutes. Bleeding will not occur after using mifepristone as it cause detachment of implantation product from uterine wall. You should take 800 ug misoprostol vaginally or orally after 24 hour to complete the treatment under observation of health care provider.
It cause following side effects: excessive bleeding, abdominal pain, headache, lethargy, fever, abnormal development of pregnancy in failure, vaginal infection. Follow up USG should be done after 14 days to confirm incomplete abortion
