Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Spasmoproxyvon is a pain killer containing
Acetaminophen,
Dicyclomine and Propoxyphene. It is generally used for stomach pain treating functional bowel disorders. Stopping the medication can be difficult if you have been taking high doses of it for a long period of time as it becomes highly addictive. The medication should be tapered to prevent the worst of the
withdrawal symptoms. Side effects of it include: liver injury, throat dryness, sleeping difficulty and swelling of face.
Dynapar contains diclofenac sodium. It is used to relieve pain and swelling due to inflammation. Side effects include: gastric upset, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea,
constipation, headache, drowsiness and dizziness.
Of course, none of the above medications cause any complications to conceive, but should not be used when you are pregnant.
Since spasmoproxyvon can cause dependency, it would be advisable to switch over to medication containing Mefenemic acid and dicyclomine combination to overcome the pain during your periods.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
