i have severe headache after having an arbortion in the past two weeks, i bleeded a lot and had to be admitted in hospital for three days, i had blood transfusion and water, i would like to know the cause of headache and future side effects that i might encounter
Hello dear Understand your concern Yes headache is the known side effects of misoprostol that used for abortion. I think you have complication of the abortion treatment that cause excessive bleeding/ incomplete abortion or ectopic pregnancy case which further aggravate the headache by the blood loss.It may be due to excess dose or improper guidance regarding the use of abortion pill. There is no future side effects of abortion treatment. But It should be taken under the supervision and expert opinion of the gynecologist. Take full treatment with analgesic. Choose your contraception. Period may become delayed or earlier. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
