Your doctor has prescribed eradication therapy to eradicate an H Pylori infection and relieve the hyperacidity. H pylori is generally confirmed via a breath test, bloods or on endoscopy. In certain instances treatment is also prescribed on a clinical basis. The most common side effects while taking these tablets are gastrointestinal eg constipation or diarrhea, nause, vomiting, flatulence. If you are not allergic to the medication, it is rare to experience more serious side effects such as headaches, seizures, dizziness etc
If you are not allergic, the prescription is safe to take in most cases. The antibiotics are a short course but the lanzoprozole can be continued for a few months. Do modify your diet and avoid food triggers to help with reflux symptoms eg fatty, sugary foods etc
Hope this helps.
