What Are The Side Effects Of Levothyroxine?

I am taking 25 of Levothyroxine. My TSH high was 4.1. I took 50 about two years ago and felt better until my tsh level went to 1.3. I am having heart palpitations and I have WPW. I feel itchy, difficulty breathing and over stimulated. I overall don t feel well and my energy level has not changed one bit. Should I even be taking it?

Hi,

You should keep on checking your TSH, free T4 levels at 3 months interval so that dose can be corrected. If you have palpitation, difficulty in breathing then you should consult cardiologist n get urself evaluated with necessary investigations.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pinal Vaghasiya, General & Family Physician
