Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Side-effects Of Medicines Given For Heart-attack?
my husband had a heart attack and has had a stent fitted he now has a cocktail of drugs(never took anything before infact cant remember when he last saw the dr) the drugs are making his blood pressure low and his pulse blood pressure 90/50 pulse between 44 and 50 Gp not concerned will he have to be onthe dose of medication for life or will it be reduced at some point He is very tired
Among medications your husband takes there are such medication which decrease heart rate and blood pressure, which is desired after heart attack, but if blood pressure and heart rate decrease too much which is in your husband's case it is indicated to change the dose or medication. So I would advise you to see your doctor to reevaluate his treatment.
Hope I could help you
Wishing good health to your husband
