Hello and thank you so. I have been taking metoprolol SUCC ER for 6 months, 25 mgs. for episodic fibrillation but I also have a slow heart rate. Symptoms are diahhrea(the spelling?) up to 6 times before noon, I also have IBS and Fibromyalgia. Most bothersome is for the past three to four weeks I have vertigo: Dizziness and spinning when lying down and when I'm up it comes without warning and I bang into walls and have to support myself with my arms. I also take 2 capsules of Valerian at night. I have headaches. I had a benign tumor remove from my brain in August which was pressing on my left optic nerve and affecting my vision which is now improved. Before the operation I was dizzy a lot without the spinning sensation. My heart doctor wants me to try going off Metoprolol. I am off it now and perhaps the vertigo is less severe. It's my first few days without it. Do you have thoughts suggestions about these symptoms of vertigo and diarhhea as related to Metoprolol? or Valerian.
