i have a cold sore and i gave someone oral sex earlier. i know i m not supposed to but it completely slipped my mind. i just got it today and it hasn t been popped yet. i know it s possible for him to get genital herpes, but how possible is it? i m terrified that i gave him genital herpes :(

For all you know, he could have transmitted the infection to you. We cannot be sure of the same, but if at all you have had cold sores in the past then you could possibly be the source. I would recommend testing for herpes for both you and your partner.
