Hello, doctor My Sgpt and Sgot test are little higher than normal for more than six months i.e SGPT 48 & SGOT 53. and a doctor suggest me to take one table silliver 200mg daily. Dr. I want to know the reason why my LFTS are higher and should I start to take the said table? Is there any side effect of this tablet. Please reply me as earliest. I am waiting. Khaleel
hi sir, welcome to HCM, i understand ur problem, its just liver dysfunction and no need to worry about that, silliver tab dont have serious side effects, its side effects are nausea, vomit, headache, abdomen pain etc, Silymarin is indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of liver disease of varying etiologies; acute hepatitis, chronic persistent and chronic aggressive hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, fatty liver, toxic metabolic or toxic metabolic liver damage.
