What Are The Side Effects Of Simvastatin Drug?

I am taking Simvastatin 20 mg drug. In the past I have taken simvastatin drugs which have colorant added to which I am allergic. ie: it brings me out in Hives. At present I have been taking Bristol brand which is a white tablet. These are no longer available from my GP. Could you please let me know if there is another simvastatin tablet that is white?
