Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been a heavy user of heroin. But I had abstained for 9 months after a rehabilitation process. I relapsed a few days back and consumed huge amounts of it. I regret the incident and hence stopped since the last 72hours. But there are severe withdrawal symptoms. I have flue-like conditions with running nose, sneezing and aches. How do I get over this situation? How much time would it take for these conditions to improve?
Hello dear , you are having symptoms of heroin withdrawal , these symptoms will remain for a week or more. your aches may last longer but with treatment you can get over these symptoms. With few painkillers and other symptomatic treatment you will win the fight with heroin withdrawal.Once you get over it don't start taking again. You can consult a psychiatrist for these.
