hello sir,

i have a son aged 11 years .A doc in bangalore is suspecting goitre for my son after physical examination recently .my wife and son have travelled to bangalore for 10 days.we stay at delhi .just wanted to check with u the intensity of the situation.

Hello...

Thanks for contacting HCM for health query.

Your son is 11 years old and has been suspected to have goitre.

Goitre is a swelling in the front of neck arising from thyroid gland. Don't be panic. Considering the age of your son, it could be Puberty goitre also.

Puberty goitre is nothing but a physiological enlargement of the gland, as growth gears up.

But anyway take up Ultrasound Thyroid and Thyroid Profile and ensure normalcy.
