What Are The Symptoms Of Ganglion Cyst?

A few years ago I woke in the morning to find my hand was bent over totally numb down to elbow through the day life started to come back into it. Over the past few years pain in the wrist started on and off no swelling then these last few weeks had very bad pain and really bad swelling. I went to a&e and they think it could be gout this maybe the case but ive got the swelling down but over the last year ive had a small swelling over my pulse the size about an inch circle been told could be a ganglion cyst but im not so sure its more of a flat low lying lump im just wondering what your thoughts may be

I am so sorry to hearing about this swelling. A ganglion cyst is a small swelling overlying a joint that contains joint fluid. It generally starts very small and increase progressively over time. Unless otherwise, it is painless. The diagnosis is usually made after a detailed physical exam and some tests if there are any doubts. For confirmation, it would be helpful to visit your doctor and get tis examined. Ganglion cysts generally need no treatment except for cosmetic reasons or when they do cause disturbing symptoms like pain.
