What Are The Symptoms Of Lactose Intorence?
My daughter is suffering from smelly gas problem from last 3-4 months . 3 weeks back we did reducing substance test of stool for her which was positive. Is this indicates that she has lactose intolrence .But she still has the same smelly gas problem (though less) while I am not giving her milk and any dairy product from last 3 weeks after the test. Can I give her lactovita(lactic acid bacillus) ?My question - Is she suffering from lactose intorence? What is the test for lactose intolrence for a nine years old child and is this a life long problem? Can I give her lactovita(lactic acid bacillus)? She had lactose intolrence when she was 1 month old

I had gone through the given history, if this is the formation of flatulence with bad order then it could be due to infection or dyspepsia or it may be due to the diet, taken, but it may not be the lactose intolerance, there is not specific that can be done but it comes in routine type procedure and doctor can suggest it if this is suspected, it can not be long standing and with the age it will comes around, you have not mentioned the age of child here.
In my opinion first infection need to be ruled out, and it is not the condition that is to be worried, just be patience and it will be fine soon, no need to give anything in medication unless it is proved infection, even no need to try Lactobacillus, hope this information helps.
