It feels like i have something stuck in my throat, and my voice has been going and coming, i went to the ER a couple days ago and they said that its probably Laryngitis, but how do i know its not something more serious like throat cancer, are there different symptoms between the two?
If you have been feeling like having something stuck in your throat within few days, it is related to an acute condition, most probably laryngitis. It gives such fastidious feeling that will be subside by time.
If I was your caring doctor would prescribe a short course with steroid shots and antihistamine drugs.
If high fever will appear, a course of antibiotic is also advised.
Meanwhile, I recommend to: - take good oral hygiene - do daily gargle with water and salt - take 1 teaspoon of honey and olive oil every morning - drink plenty of fluids (water, juice, tea)
