During a routine blood pressure check my doctor noticed a lump on my upper chest, He said not to worry because it was a lipoma. Of course I am very concerned - he said if it did not go away in about 2 weeks to come back and he will get me to a general surgeon. Does this sound correct? I am still very worried even thought all I have been reading says they are not serious and can be removed.
Hi, It seems you might be having Lipoma only. Nothing to worry, it is common and might remain there for pretty long time without increasing size. If size is increases or pain is there, it can be removed with simple surgery. There is no risk of change into cancer. Ok and take care.
