What Are The Symptoms Of Passive Aggressive Behavior?
My wife and I have been having problems for a while including a diagnosis of ADD for me at 54, after losing my second job in 6 years. Now she is pasteing me with her opinion that I am passive aggressive. I ve never considered this. Does a person have to cognitively act in behaviors of passive aggressive or can it just happen subconsciously? I ll admit to bad habits including being late, procrastination and forgetfulness but I have never done anything intentionally to hurt or get back at my wife.
Hello and thank you for your question. You can have passive aggressive behaviors without doing them intentionally. For example, if you know that it is important to your wife that you are on time for an appointment, then showing up late may not seem aggressive to you, but it can be a form of passive aggressiveness. Consider seeing a therapist together to work through some of these issues so that both of you can be happier
