What Are The Treatment And Symptoms Of Sarcoidosis?

Why get a echo cardiogram for sarcoidosis, chest pain? What can it tell me? Is it the right test to be done for chest pain particularly underneath the left boob area and aross the chest area? I already had a CT scan. It only showed the lungs. I thought it show the heart problems too.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! I would like to explain you that sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease involving several organs, and the heart as well. It may cause ischemic heart disease, arrhythmic and conductance disorders, and even restrictive cardiomyopathy. Cardiac ultrasound is helpful to detect heart involvement ( thinning of basal i/ventricular septum or free ventricular wall, as well as granular sparkling texture)., and restrictive cardiomyopathy, in conjunction with other proposed tests. Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings! Dr. Iliri
