Hello and welcome to heath care magic,

The treatment of an infection is just rest and lots of fluids and proper medications

-take a course of antihistamine like levocetrizine in consultation with your doctor
-take only warm fluids
-take steam inhalation and plenty of rest
-whether to take a course of antibiotic or pain killer will be decided only by your doctor

Hope he gets well soon

regards

Dr Sriram nathan
