What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Using Biotin?

Hello,

I have a question regarding Biotin, which is supposed to be good for hair skin and nails. Couple of years ago I was taking multivitamin tablets and my skin started breaking out. I am not sure what exactly made me breakout but I've read several posts online where some people claim to develop acne after taking biotin supplements. I spoke to my dermatologist and he said it is safe to take biotin but I am really scared from the hundreds of post I've been reading and would like an opinion from other dermatologists. I have listed the content of the supplements I used to take.

Thank you.

Vitamin Supplement content:

Natural occurring Vitamin content: Vitamin A, all B Complex including PABA, C, D, E, F, G, H, (Biotin), K, P, S, T, and U.

Naturally occurring mineral content: Calcium, Chlorine, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Fluorine, Iron, Iodine, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Selenium, Silicon, Sodium, Sulfur (very important for hair growth), Vanadium, Zinc and many more minerals.

plus L-30.
