What Can I Do About Painful Intercourse?

What can I do about painful intercourse. Feels like I'm getting a thousand little paper cuts inside even though I am well lubricated. I had a hysyerectomy 7 years ago. I'm 53 now. This started 3 years ago after not having sex for 8 months due to a relationship break up. Before that I was fine. Do I need estrogen? Would that help?

There are chances that after menopause, vagina becomes little dryer and inner covering also get thinner. I would recommend you to show to a gynecologist and take opinion about hormonal replacement therapy. But remember that hormone therapy needs to be supervise ,as side effects after hormone replacement therapy are well known.
