What Can I Expect After A Radiation Therapy To Remove Sarcoma Scars From Back And Thigh?
I have had six weeks of radiation therapy beginning in august and on October 23 had surgery removing a grade 3 soft tissue sarcoma from the back of my thigh. My radiation doctor wants me to go to a follow up appointment. Can you tell me what the purpose of this follow up appointment is? I have already had my primary care doctor look at the scar and she said it looked good.

Well he will just check is there necesity for further radiation therapy.So you dont have to be worried about it. Oncologist is specialits in his field and he can determine more professsionaly how does this scar looks like and is there some another diagnostic method which should be done.
