What Can Be Done For Swollen Ankles As Having Hypertension And Take Vasododiolaters?

I have hypertension and take vasododiolaters, which result jn swollen anklles.for the last two days, my ankles have been covered wkth small red dots there is little to no itchkng, gut ghere is a tingling feeling also, my thyroid med was recently changedto thyroxine..any suggestion of what this is?

Dear patient,

Thanks for the query. These may represent small ruptured capillary vessels from the swelling (edema) of the legs, that as you have mentioned can be exacerbated by the medications. Leg elevations and compression stockings can be tried to alleviate symptoms.
