What Can Be Done To Reduce Slightly Elevated Levels Of SGOT, LDL With Fatty Liver?
Hi I am 41 years old. I have been diagnosed with slightly fatty liver and my SGOT level is 49. I have a slighlty higher level of LDL which is 108 and also my good cholesterol HDL is 56. I drink wine once a week. and have ahealthy high protein diet. What should I do in terms of lowering these slightly elevated levels? Is it somethign I should be worried about? I experience severe lower abdomen pain during my monthly periods for the last 15 years and for that during the first three days of my period I take ponstan forte two tablets every six hours. If I dont take this I am dysfucntional and pain becomes unbearable. Could this be the reason for my elevate SGOT level?
hi, SGOT is a highly non specific enzyme that is secreted by most of the tissues in the body including muscles. its elevation especially when SGPT is normal, is ignorable. your pain may not be the reason for elevated SGOT. As far as LDL is concerned, exercise and weight loss can reduce it to normal, and i can assure even that is near normal to you and needs no worry. all the best.
