What Can Cause Me To Wake Up With A Knot On The Back Right Of The Head?

I woke up with a knot on the back right side of my head. Like after you get hit by something kind of knot. It is sore to the touch. What could this be? I did suffer a migraine in the last 48 hours , could it be related? It s about the size of a nickel.
