I am a 59 year old man with type 2 diabetes. Today I had a sudden bright light in my left eye and for a full 3 minutes, I saw a rainbow that I could see through, but it was very prevalent when I look to the side, but not so much when I looked straight on. Could this be a retinal tear in my eye?
